- You are deeply interested in consumer behavior, culture, trends and design
- You are an expert at brand strategy, brand positioning and communication frameworks
- You have extensive experience conducting consumer and cultural research—and can translate insights to actionable brand implications
- You can provide focused guidance on brand naming and copywriting across all touchpoints, including packaging and web to ensure that it aligns with strategy
- You can identify opportunities for a brand’s core identity and provide input on semiotics and design that connect back to the strategic vision
- You can win inbound business and establish project plans that deliver on the client’s objectives within budget and timeframe
- You love partnering with clients as their trusted advisor and advocate for the work
- You can successfully guide work from start to finish, collaborating closely with creatives and ensuring client approval across all touchpoints
- You are a skilled presenter, can build effective client presentations and run client meetings efficiently
- You understand the nuances of working with businesses at various stages of growth and what it takes to bring brands to life in a range of budgets and organization styles
- You are interested in the categories we specialize in (health & wellness, personal care, beauty, femcare & sexcare, food, beverage, restaurant & hospitality)
- You share our values (banishing outdated social narratives, promoting sustainability, empowering women)
- You are self-motivated, self-directed and ambitious
- You are excited about contributing to agency thought leadership initiatives and social impact projects
Requirements
- Current title includes the word “Strategy” or “Strategist” at a Senior or Director level
- 7+ years of brand strategy experience within a design or branding agency
- Expertise in formal brand strategy frameworks, brand platforms, brand architecture, brand positioning, naming and communication frameworks
- Expertise in conducting consumer research including qualitative, quantitative and equity research, competitive and market research and cultural analytics
- Expertise in designing and facilitating workshops and brand audits
- Ninja-like ability to solve complicated branding problems (the brands we work on are innovating, not following the usual playbook)
- Excellent client-facing presentation skills
- Experience in direct-to-consumer packaged goods and a strong understanding of the CPG project workflow
- Laser-focused attention to copywriting and presentation details
- Ability to multi-task and navigate a fast-paced environment
- Passion for pushing the boundaries and taking risks to build brands at the forefront of cultural change
